After some time fighting Separatist droids, Torrent Company were ordered to move to the last Rebel stronghold. They made their way through the Separatists’ defenses, but took damage after being attacked by a Defensor droideka. Rex was next to Kenobi as they made their way towards the fleet. After about a quarter of a mile, the captain and the general encountered a Republic communications control bunker and got their comms restored.
Torrent Company engaged and destroyed wave after wave of Separatist droids as they deployed a new Defensor heavy-mounted STAP droideka. For their part, Rex and Kenobi engaged Separatist battle droids as they moved about the facility. The two groups were soon joined by Skywalker, Rex, and Tano in descending on the device. Outmatched, the Separatists were forced to withdraw, with the machines eventually making their way into the city’s underground defense and maintenance systems.
Torrent Company located Rotta and his captor General Gall who was using the Jedi’s comlink to contact his base of operations on Coruscant. Gall attempted to negotiate with Rex and the Jedi, but when he failed he turned to an old Force Ghost that only he could see. He then had his battle droids transmit the Separatist’s comlink frequency signal. As the droids produced the signal an older red-eyed Sith from Gall’s past attempted to jump Gall and kill him before he could finish transmitting.
Later that same day, Kenobi contacted the captain to inform him that the ground battle would be a decisive victory and the Republic’s main fleet was enroute. A few hours later, Rex, Yularen, Kenobi, Skywalker and Tano were informed by Admiral Ackbar, the commanding officer of the entire fleet, that Grievous and his fleet was being chased into hyperspace by a Republic fleet, led by Yoda and Count Dooku. Yoda had also informed Ackbar that Grievous’s dreadnought, Vindicator had moved out of the system. The rest of the Republic fleet was to maintain constant visual contact on the system’s planet, and await the rebels’ first attack. While the fleet was held in orbit, the captain and his men were able to resume their planning of the upcoming mission. Again, the group had been in the Indomitable’s bridge when Kenobi contacted them, and this time Rex and the rest of the crew had their orders confirmed by Ackbar, who would personally be overseeing the mission. The captain was told to bring his Torrent Company’s forces aboard the Transport due to a lack of personnel. Soon after, the Transport was docked with the Tuscon in orbit. Rex was sent to inform Tano and Kenobi of this.
For years, Lo-Fi Games has been one of the industry’s most dependable outfits when it comes to PC releases. Over the past five years, the developer and publisher have released more than one dozen PC games with the Lo-Fi moniker and only two of those—Torn, and its prequel, Resogun—have been buggy messes. Everything else has been a strong, polished experience that is rarely lacking in content. Lo-Fi Games has been on a bit of a recent hot streak with their games. Their partnership with Double Fine resulted in Broken Age, the acclaimed indie adventure game. Then, they released the excellent roguelike dungeon-crawling game, Hollow Knight, and the roguelike adventure game, Observer. All of those games, except for Hollow Knight, were developed by a small indie team, known as Team Cherry. That team released Hollow Knight without any promises of a sequel. However, Team Cherry’s president, Chris Park, told GameSpot that the team has begun designing a sequel. \”We’ve been holding off on the decision and we’ve got a lot of good solid designs in mind,\” Chris said. Lo-Fi Games has also had a successful run at console ports of their PC games. Resogun went from PC to PS4, while Torn was ported to Switch. All in all, that’s been a pretty great year for the firm and it should be looking to continue that success into 2020.
Replay 2010s superheroics in a sequel that features huge maps, boss fights, and co-op gameplay. DC’s rebirth of classic superheroes in the Batman: Arkham series brought in a slew of intelligent, challenging superhero action to the PC. Arkham Origins shows just how far the studio can push the genre, expanding its scope with less combat, more player choice, and packed with a bevy of gadgets and villains to crack.
