as with many adventure stories, the heroes must face the bad guys to save the day. this story follows tintin and snowy as they fight off a group of mercenaries and their leader, a british agent named thompson, who is paid to smuggle the scrolls out of the country. the scrolls can help haddock find a sunken treasure that is thought to be somewhere in the caribbean, but haddock may not be the hero. the treasure is the key to a mysterious treasure map that was given to herg the artist, who illustrated tintin and the classic comics of the 1930s.
tintin himself was voiced by canadian actor, comedian and puppeteer andy secombe. secombe is best known for his leading role in the canadian television series, little beaver. the other voice actors for the characters in the series were actresses linda ballantyne, sandra duncan, rachel dewitt, kristen harper, lindsay kelly, heather lennox, emily perkins and nancy robertson, and actors lionel kelly, kevin mcdonald, randy riddle, rene senecal and kevin st. john.
